The Darker Side Of Night by Gina Marie Tellez
Description
Corky O?Brien has just been promoted to detective. He is the youngest in his class to do so and, on the heels of that promotion, he is given his first assignment. In a small town in northern Arizona a man has been found murdered in a ritualistic manner and every ounce of blood missing. The name of the town is Caratoga. He is torn between the vow he made never return to this town where he had spent his childhood summers visiting his sister, and his duty as detective. Accompanied by a forensic crime scene unit he heads for Caratoga. He is suddenly forced to face fears that he has locked away since childhood in a town where witchcraft and diabolical forces rule. The certainty that this time he will do battle with the very evil that he could not face as a child, has him scared as hell. Wendy McClaine, a freelance journalist, has made a documentary on witchcraft and Satanic rituals that take place in the small towns in Arizona. She receives a cryptic message from a friend who lives in Caratoga. Her friend is in trouble but cannot say what it is over the phone, so she begs Wendy to come to the town and help her. Wendy packs her bags and heads to Caratoga. Alaina Saunders, worried because she has not heard from her sister, Wendy, or her sister?s friend makes plans to drive up to Caratoga and find out what is going on. Before she can leave, she receives a call from Detective O?Brien telling her that Wendy is missing. Together they embark on an odyssey of terror and do battle with the forces of evil.
