INTRACTABLE FRACTIOUSNESS or, TOO BLOODY CRANKY TO BE TOLD
Prologue: Meet Brian Bortwhistle, this is his story. He’s born, his dog dies. And a taxi carries the drunk away.
Helpless: Brian and Samantha’s love story beginning with their last fuck, London 1973, and ending in Sydney 1970, the very moment they fall in love. In 1972, Brian and Samantha head overland to London & in early 1973, while travelling in India, Brian flips out. Back in 1970, six friends tripping when someone freaks out. Bad trip, man, and Brian having no idea what to do, of course is the hero.
The Ending: Three tales told simultaneously, weaving around each other. The 1st story has Brian arriving at Heathrow 28 years after he left London to be met by Geraldine. They drive away. But never get off the motorway. At the end, there they are with a blowout. Geraldine delivers the final words. The 2nd story covers Brian’s time from 1974 as a resident in a therapeutic community house in working class north London. The mayhem of a madhouse ensues. The 3rd story finds Brian off his face on fresh air in India in 1973 while living with Samantha in the Tibetan Hotel at Sarnath. Of course as with any cycle, going up leads to the inevitable.
Epilogue: Brian on his death bed. A recurring Buddhist theme finds a finalé.
